NEW DELHI: The people of Assam are beaming with pride and joy as several talented writers from the state have been honored with the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Awards 2023. These esteemed literary awards recognize outstanding contributions to Indian literature across various languages and genres. The Assamese, Bodo, and Nepali communities have achieved remarkable recognition in this year's awards ceremony.

Shri Jintu Gitarth, an accomplished Assamese writer, has been bestowed with the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar for his remarkable book "Mon Mora Tora." The Bodo community also takes pride in the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar received by Smt Mainaosri Dwimary for her book "Som, Jiu Arw...". Smt Pratima Nandi Narzary's book "Go Saini Gojon Nojor" has brought great honor to the Bodo community as well. The Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in the Nepali language has been bestowed upon Smt Naina Adhikary for her remarkable book "Ghat-Pratighatika Udgarharu."
