CM Conrad K Sangma Stresses Collective Efforts to Combat Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking in Meghalaya
Shillong: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma recently attended a program organized by the Meghalaya Police and the Social Welfare Department to observe the International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking. The event aimed to address the growing concern of drug abuse and illicit trafficking in Meghalaya and foster collaboration among various stakeholders to tackle this pressing issue.
Recognizing the seriousness of the problem, CM Sangma emphasized the need for concerted efforts from the community, civil societies, and the government to effectively curb drug abuse and illicit trafficking in the state. Furthermore, the Chief Minister also expressed his appreciation for the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) team, commending their remarkable endeavors in striving towards the goal of a Drug-Free Meghalaya. Their unwavering commitment and positive contribution to the state's efforts against drug abuse were recognized and applauded.
