The letter, dated August 22, 2023, signed by Smti Prajnya Saharia, Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam Department of School Education, was addressed to various key education authorities in the state, including the Directors of Elementary Education and Secondary Education, the Director of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), and the Managing Director of Adarsha Vidyalaya.
The directive calls for the organization of special assemblies in all schools throughout Assam, starting from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on August 23, 2023. These assemblies will be coordinated with the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Assam, to ensure that every student in the state can witness this historic moment in real-time.
