Assam, September 4, 2023: Assam's Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, reaffirmed his commitment to job creation in the state as he distributed 514 appointment letters to successful Grade 3 and Grade 4 candidates today. This move adds to the remarkable achievement of the Sarma-led government, which has created a staggering 87,402 State Government jobs since he assumed office in May 2021.
Dr. Sarma took to social media to share the news, stating, "Shortly, we will advertise another 22,000 vacancies - taking the total Govt jobs created to 1.09 lakh. Our 2021 election promise was to create 1 lakh Govt jobs."
