Her visit aimed to extend solace to the bereaved families and reaffirm the commitment to ensuring justice prevails in this distressing situation.

These two young lives gained widespread attention after their images circulated on social media platforms on September 25, raising concerns about their safety. Governor Anusuiya Uikey paid her respects at their homes in Imphal, where she conveyed her deep sorrow and condolences to the grieving parents. Touched by the resilience of the mothers, who had been fasting for several days, the Governor stood in solidarity with their anguish and offered them water.

During her visit, Governor Uikey recognized the sentiments of the people and assured the families that a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry is already in progress. Her visit provided much-needed reassurance to these young individuals and their families, promising the necessary medical support for a swift recovery.

In a separate development, Km. Ak. Mirabai Devi, an Ex-Minister, and eight members of a Joint Action Committee (JAC) joined by relatives, met with Governor Uikey at Raj Bhavan, Imphal.
