Assam Chief Minister Asserts: Sanatan Dharma's Legacy is Indestructible
Himanta Biswa Sarma's Strong Stance on the INDI ALLIANCE and Cultural Values
Haridwar, Uttarakhand - October 14, 2023: On October 14, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, while visiting the Narayani Shila temple in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, voiced strong criticism of the INDI ALLIANCE bloc. He stated that the alliance was engaging in actions he deemed sinful, and that the people of the nation would respond fittingly in due course.

Addressing media representatives during his visit, CM Sarma expressed his concerns regarding certain individuals who, in his view, sought to bring an end to Sanatan Dharma and its cultural legacy within the country. He emphasized the resilience of Sanatana, affirming, "Sanatana is very strong and will endure as long as the sun shines."

CM Sarma conveyed his contentment and tranquility after visiting the Narayani Shila temple, a place of great significance. He shared, "I make it a point to visit the Narayani Shila Temple every year. Unfortunately, I couldn't do so last year. However, this year, on the auspicious occasion of Amavasya, I have come here to seek blessings from our ancestors, as it is an integral part of our Sanatana tradition. Continuing this tradition, we seek divine blessings. This year, too, I visited the temple and performed 'shraad' for our ancestors. I felt a sense of peace after the prayer ritual."

Elaborating on the concerns he had about the future of Sanatan Dharma, CM Sarma noted, "There are individuals who harbor intentions of bringing Sanatan Dharma and its legacy to an end in our country. However, our nation is resilient, and similarly, Sanatana is resilient, enduring as long as the sun shines...The individuals in the INDI ALLIANCE are, in my view, committing actions that some might consider sinful. In the future, the people of India will respond to them in an appropriate manner," assured the Assam Chief Minister.

CM Sarma's visit to the sacred Narayani Shila temple, his reflections on the strength of Sanatan Dharma, and his remarks about the INDI ALLIANCE emphasize the continued importance of cultural and religious values in the nation's political discourse.
