New Bongaigaon, India - November 4, 2023: A meticulously executed operation by the Government Railway Police (GRP) led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of narcotics, weighing a staggering 15 kilograms. The contraband was discovered on board Tripuri Sundari Express train number 14619 on November 3, 2023.

According to reliable sources, the illegal drugs were ingeniously concealed within everyday food items, including biscuits, Maggi noodles, and packets of chips. The discovery unfolded at New Bongaigaon railway junction when a team of GRP officers, under the guidance of Sanjeev Chaudhary, apprehended three women and five children who were in possession of the illicit substances.

Sources further reveal that the three arrested women are believed to be natives of Bihar.

Swift and necessary legal actions have been initiated against the detained individuals, marking a pivotal step in combating the menace of drug trafficking.

This operation underscores the vigilance and dedication of the Government Railway Police in ensuring the safety and security of passengers and the integrity of the railway network. As the legal process unfolds, the apprehension of these individuals serves as a clear warning to those who seek to exploit the railways for illegal activities.
