Nehru Park in Guwahati Set to Reopen to the Public After Renovations

GUWAHATI: Nehru Park, located in the heart of Guwahati city, is set to reopen its gates to the public starting May 21. This historic park, situated opposite Cotton College, is among the oldest parks in Assam and holds great significance as a popular tourist spot and recreational area for the residents of Guwahati.

Originally part of an old church, the area was later transformed into a public park by the Assam Government. After undergoing recent renovations, Nehru Park was officially inaugurated on May 10; however, public access was restricted until now.

The park will be open to visitors from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day, with the exception of Thursdays when it will remain closed. Visitors can look forward to enjoying the serene atmosphere and engaging in leisurely walks amidst the park's refreshed surroundings.
