Shocking CCTV Footage Exposes Spa Owner Mohsin's Ruthless Assault on North East Indian Woman in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, September 28, 2023:  A deeply disturbing incident captured on CCTV has sent shockwaves through Ahmedabad as it shows the owner of Galaxy Spa, identified as Mohsin, brutally assaulting a 24-year-old woman from the North-east. The horrifying video, which has gone viral, depicts a relentless attack, including repeated slaps, hair-pulling, and the tearing of the victim's clothes. The victim's defenselessness in the face of this extreme violence is heart-wrenching.

The incident unfolded at a complex on Sindhu Bhavan Road in Ahmedabad, where the Galaxy Spa is located. The disturbing footage not only shows Mohsin's aggression but also reveals two bystanders who watched the incident unfold without intervening. Later, a third individual attempted to stop the assailant, only to be shoved aside as Mohsin resumed his assault on the woman.

Upon receiving a complaint from the victim, the Bodakdev police took swift action, booking Mohsin under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 354A (sexual harassment), 294(b) (obscene acts or words), and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt). The incident occurred on September 25, and the police initiated suo motu action, persuading the victim to file a First Information Report (FIR) after providing counseling and support.

The Director General of Police (DGP) for Assam, GP Singh, has responded swiftly to the shocking assault incident involving a Northeastern woman in Ahmedabad. In a tweet posted on X, DGP GP Singh assured the public that the matter has been promptly taken up with the @GujaratPolice, emphasizing that lawful action is already underway and is being diligently followed up at senior levels.

The victim disclosed that she had been a business partner with Mohsin in a ladies' salon, and the altercation between them arose over scolding a staff member and a financial loss of Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,000. Initially hesitant to file a complaint, the victim praised the police and the media for their assistance in ensuring justice. She recounted the traumatic experience:

"I co-owned a ladies' salon with Mohsin, and on the 25th, we had a heated argument over a scolding incident involving one of our staff members. Mohsin's excessive anger and unwarranted support for the staff member triggered the altercation. He began physically assaulting me, even snatching away my mobile phone when I attempted to call '100' for the police. I managed to escape and reached the road. Mohsin later apologized, and I forgave him, initially refraining from filing an FIR. However, following the video's viral circulation, the police became aware of the incident. Today, I received numerous calls, and despite my initial reluctance, I was encouraged by everyone to file the FIR. They emphasized the importance of preventing such incidents from happening to others. I am grateful for the support I've received, despite being from the Northeast. The police and the media have stood by me, and I appreciate it."

Authorities are actively pursuing legal action against the accused, ensuring that justice is served in this distressing case.
