BARPETA, ASSAM, 17 December 2023: In a significant development, Sanjib Kr Das, the Executive Engineer of Sorbhog-Jania Division (Irrigation), found himself in legal trouble as he was arrested in Barpeta. The arrest comes after a thorough search of his residence, where a substantial amount of cash, totaling Rs. 12,00,000/- (twelve lac only), was discovered and subsequently seized by the diligent team from DIR_VAC_ASSAM.
