The estimated value of the seized gold is a staggering Rs 1.42 crore. The Customs Department swiftly apprehended one person in connection with the attempted smuggling.
According to official sources from the Customs Department, the seizure was part of their ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities and enforce stringent border controls. The gold biscuits, concealed within the vehicle, were detected through advanced screening techniques.
