Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Calls for Renaming Places in Tibet in Response to China's Actions
Sarma's Statement: Urges Indian Government to Adopt 'Tit for Tat' Policy Towards China
Diphu, 2 April, 24: The BJP has nominated Amarsingh Tisso as its candidate from the Diphu Lok Sabha constituency in Assam. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, campaigning for Tisso, made a statement regarding China that has sparked widespread discussion.

During a media interaction, Sarma was asked about China's renaming of 30 locations in Arunachal Pradesh. In response, Sarma urged the Indian government to adopt a 'tit for tat' policy towards China and also suggested renaming 60 places in Tibet.

Sarma stated, "While it is the decision of the central government on what action to take, I still urge the Indian government to consider renaming 60 places if China changes thirty names."
