AHSEC to Resolve English Marks Issue: Assam Education Minister
Over a hundred students from Cachar district affected by discrepancies in marksheets.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is actively addressing the issue of students from Cachar district not receiving marks in English subject, announced Education Minister Ranoj Pegu.

Pegu shared this information on social media platform X, expressing the council's commitment to resolve the matter promptly.

In a statement, Pegu mentioned, "Despite being successful candidates from schools and colleges such as Ramanuj Gupta Chinmoy Secondary College, Gurucharan College, Cachar College, and Holy Cross Secondary School, over a hundred students were deprived of their English subject marks due to an error in the results declaration."

The incident has caused concern among students, parents, and school authorities, creating a challenging situation.

Ramanuj Gupta Chinmoy Secondary School reported that 36 students from the science stream did not receive marks in the English subject. Similarly, there were discrepancies in the marksheets of students from other institutions like IFALE College, where a majority of students did not receive marks in English.

Consequently, all India Students' Council members are urging the Education Council to take immediate action to resolve the students' grievances. They have warned of intensifying protests against the council if the issue is not addressed promptly.

Stay tuned for updates as AHSEC works to rectify the English marks issue for the affected students.
