Joint Operation: Assam Rifles and State Police Team Up

Security Forces Arrest NSCN (IM) Militant in Changlang District

In a significant development, security forces apprehended a member of the NSCN (IM) from the Laktong area in Changlang district on 13th May.

Acting on intelligence inputs, a joint team comprising the 31 Assam Rifles and state police launched a targeted operation in the Laktong area, leading to the successful arrest of the militant. The apprehended militant has been identified as Wangmun Khimhun, who holds the rank of self-styled sergeant and hails from Yanman village in Khimyong, Changlang district.

Following the arrest, the militant was handed over to the Changlang police station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
