Assam Board Releases HSLC Compartmental Exam 2025 Timetable

Exams to Begin on May 23; Full Schedule, Shifts, and Guidelines Announced

Guwahati, May 6, 2025:
The Assam State School Education Board (Div – I), Guwahati, has officially announced the timetable for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Compartmental Examination 2025. As per the notification released on May 6, the examinations will be held from May 23 to May 29, 2025, across designated centers in the state.

The exams will be conducted in two shifts each day: the morning session from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and the afternoon session from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Detailed Examination Schedule

  • May 23 (Friday):
    Morning: MIL / English (IL)
    Afternoon: Sanskrit (E)

  • May 24 (Saturday):
    Morning: Social Science
    Afternoon:

  • May 26 (Monday):
    Morning: General Mathematics
    Afternoon:

  • May 27 (Tuesday):
    Morning: English
    Afternoon: Arabic (E), Persian (E), Assamese (E)

  • May 28 (Wednesday):
    Morning: General Science
    Afternoon:

  • May 29 (Thursday):
    Morning: Advanced Mathematics (E), Geography (E), History (E), Computer Science (E), Commerce (E)
    Afternoon: Hindi (E)

Important Guidelines

According to the board's notification:

  • Students must report to the exam hall by 8:15 a.m. for morning sessions and 12:45 p.m. for afternoon sessions.
  • An additional 15 minutes will be provided before each exam to read the question paper.
  • All examinations will be of two hours’ duration, except for elective language papers, which will be held for three hours.
  • For English, General Mathematics, General Science, and Social Science, students must pass both objective and descriptive sections independently.

The board has also clarified that elective language papers will have common question sets for Group A and Group B languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Manipuri, and Santhali.
