HAFLONG: Assam Police Busts Hemp Farm in Dima Hasao, Seizes 6.8kg of Illegal Substance
In a significant operation, the Assam Police took action against illegal hemp cultivation in Lower Haflong, Dima Hasao. Acting on reliable information, the police, accompanied by an Executive Magistrate, conducted a raid at the residence of Neelu Das in Lower Haflong under Haflong police station. The search revealed the presence of a hemp farm spanning 682 sq ft.
The police promptly arrested the individual and destroyed the illicit cultivation. The accused will be presented before the district court on June 3 to face legal proceedings.
Authorities are now intensifying their investigation to uncover any potential links associated with this illegal hemp cultivation, as they seek to dismantle the network behind such activities.
