Assam University, Silchar, a prestigious central university, has released a notification informing all concerned individuals about the availability of the online portal for admission into Four Year Under Graduate (FYUG) courses for the upcoming academic session 2023-2024, following the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the online portal starting from June 30, 2023 (Friday). Those interested in pursuing FYUG courses at the affiliated colleges under Assam University are encouraged to apply for admission through the online portal.

The Registrar of Assam University, Dr. PK Nath, issued the notification on June 28, 2023, and copies were sent to various recipients for dissemination. Local news bulletins and newspapers, including Dainik Jugasankha, Dainik Samayik Prasanga, Dainik Prantajyoti, and Dainik Nababarta Prasanga in Silchar and Karimganj, were requested to publish the announcement.
Furthermore, copies of the notification were also forwarded to the Vice Chancellor's office, the Professor-in-Charge of the Diphu Campus, the Director-in-Charge of the College Development Council, the Controller of Examinations, the Finance Officer, and the Director of the Computer Centre at Assam University for their information and necessary action.
Additionally, all affiliated colleges under Assam University were instructed to take note of the notification and undertake any required actions accordingly. The news editor of AIR in Silchar, Diphu, and Haflong, as well as the Station Director of Doordarshan Kendra in Silchar, were urged to broadcast the information through their respective local news bulletins and news items.
