Bharatiya Janata Party Reveals Key Candidates for Sonamura Sub-Division By-Elections.
As per an official announcement, Bhattacharjee has disclosed the composition of the Assembly Election Team for 20-Boxanagar. This team includes cabinet ministers Pranajit Singha Roy, Sushanta Chowdhury, and Tinku Roy, along with MP Rebati Tripura and the party's state general secretary, Papia Datta.
Similarly, the Assembly Election Team for 23-Dhanpur has also been revealed. This team comprises cabinet ministers Ratan Lal Nath, Bikash Debbarma, and Sudhangshu Das, accompanied by union minister of state Pratima Bhoumik, MP Rebati Tripura, and the party's state general secretary, Amit Rakshit.
Reliable sources from the party have indicated that a list of 40 prominent campaigners has been submitted to the Central Election Committee for necessary approval. It is expected that the list will be approved, possibly with some adjustments, within the next day or two.
In an intriguing development, the sources have also disclosed that former Chief Minister and current Rajya Sabha MP, Biplab Kumar Deb, has been included as a star campaigner. As a result, his name has been excluded from the Assembly Election teams, underscoring his significant role in the upcoming election campaign.
