Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Pays Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's Sacrifice on Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas
Guwahati, Assam: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, speaking on Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas in Guwahati, remembered Mahatma Gandhi's important decision to leave the Congress party and join the fight for India's freedom.

During his speech, Chief Minister Sarma praised the brave freedom fighters who worked hard for India's independence. He said their efforts have made it possible for our country to be free and united today.

Chief Minister Sarma also criticized the Congress party for not fully following Gandhi's wish to focus on India's independence struggle. He said Gandhi left Congress to fight against the British and believed that the party should not be around after India became independent. He reminded everyone that Gandhi's leadership during the struggle was essential, and no one else could have led the fight against the British.

Sarma also spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words, where he said that the nation will never forget Nathuram Godse for killing Mahatma Gandhi. Sarma emphasized that someone who does such a terrible thing cannot be forgiven or forgotten.

As the country observes Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's words highlight Mahatma Gandhi's bravery and his role in helping India become free.
