Assam's Job Market Expands: 7,600 Class-III Positions Now Open for Applications

Guwahati, October 31, 2023 - In a significant move aimed at addressing employment needs and providing opportunities for eligible Indian citizens, the Assam Direct Recruitment Commission has announced a massive recruitment drive for 7,600 Class-III posts in various government departments across the state.

This initiative is in line with "The Assam Direct Recruitment Commission for Analogous Posts in Class-III and Class-IV Act, 2021." The Act empowers the commission to facilitate the recruitment process for analogous posts within these classes.

Key Details of the Recruitment Drive:

Educational Qualifications:

The following are the minimum qualifications required for different Class-III posts:

Category I:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree with Computer Certificate/Diploma of a minimum of six months' duration from a recognized Institute
  • Bachelor's Degree with Computer Certificate/Diploma of a minimum of six months' duration and Stenography Certificate from a recognized Institute
  • Bachelor's Degree in Library Science with Computer Certificate/Diploma of a minimum of six months' duration from a recognized Institute.

Total Tentative Vacancies: 4,055

Category II:

  • HSSLC or equivalent Examination passed
  • HSSLC Level (Science) Examination passed

Total Tentative Vacancies: 3,127

Category III:

  • HSLC or equivalent Examination passed
  • HSLC Level with a valid LMV Driving Licence

Total Tentative Vacancies: 418

Age Eligibility:

Candidates should be between 18 and 40 years of age as of January 1, 2023, and the upper age limit can be relaxed as follows:

  • 5 years for SC/ST candidates
  • 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates
  • 2 years for Ex-Servicemen
  • 10 years for PwBD candidates

Age will be calculated based on the Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card/HSLC Passed Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council.

Documents Required:

Applicants must upload the following documents:

  1. Recent Passport size Photograph
  2. Scanned signature of the Candidate

Application Fee:

There is no application fee for any category of candidates, and no payment is required for submitting online applications.

Application Procedure:

Candidates must apply online through the prescribed form.

Detailed instructions for filling out the online form will be available on the official websites from November 10, 2023.

The application period is from November 10, 2023, to December 29, 2023.

All mandatory fields in the online application form should be completed with caution, as editing, correction, or resubmission will not be possible after submission.

After submission, candidates will receive a unique number for future references.

It's the candidate's responsibility to ensure a successful online application submission.

Selection Procedure:

The Commission will communicate the Selection Criteria and examination mode for different categories of posts at a later date. After the written examination, shortlisted candidates will undergo skill tests (Computer, Stenography, Driving, etc.). Original documents, including Age proof, Caste Certificate (for reserved category candidates), Educational Qualification Certificates, Computer Proficiency Certificate (if applicable), and Disability Certificate (for PwBD candidates), will be verified during the selection process.

Other Conditions:

Government employees must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective Heads of Departments (HoDs) during the Skill test/Document Verification.

Direct or indirect canvassing will disqualify a candidate.

No TA/DA will be provided for attending the written test/Skill test.

Place of posting will be based on proximity to the permanent address and departmental requirements.

The selection of candidates will be based on merit, considering reservations as applicable.

The Commission will allocate departments to selected candidates within a particular grade pay by draw of lots.

The Commission reserves the right to cancel the candidature of any candidate found ineligible.

The Commission's decision on eligibility for the examination will be final.
