Guwahati Woman Abandons Husband After APSC Exam Success, Takes Valuables
Unexpected Departure: Woman vanishes with gold and cash, citing training.

Guwahati, Assam –In a startling incident, a woman who recently cleared the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) exam abandoned her husband under the pretense of training, taking with her gold worth Rs 3.50 lakh and Rs 2 lakh in cash. The couple, who met at Gauhati University in 2011-12, had been financially supported by the husband, Rekib Ahmed, who even paid for her APSC coaching.

The woman, employed at a leading APSC coaching institute in Chandmari, kept her marriage a secret from colleagues. Rekib's inquiries about this secrecy were met with threats of suicide from his wife. Finding no other option, Rekib filed a complaint at Chandmari police station.
