Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reassured the public that the government is closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary measures to protect public health.
The directive, reposted by Assam Education on X, references a WT message from 03/06/2023 by the Department of School Education, urging officials to prioritize student safety amid extreme heat. The government’s proactive approach aims to mitigate the heatwave's impact on students and educational institutions.
District Commissioners are encouraged to assess local conditions and make decisions accordingly, ensuring flexible and responsive measures to safeguard student well-being.
