Head-On Collision Between Scooty and Car Claims One Life
Diphu, May 4 — A devastating road accident occurred on Sunday evening around 4 PM near Kheroni on the Diphu-Manja Road, resulting in the death of one youth and leaving another seriously injured.
According to eyewitnesses, the tragic incident involved a head-on collision between a Scooty and a car. The Scooty was reportedly travelling towards Manja, while the car was en route to Diphu. The impact of the crash was severe, leading to fatal consequences.
One of the Scooty riders succumbed to injuries while being rushed to the hospital. The other rider suffered a serious leg injury and is currently undergoing medical treatment. Meanwhile, the occupants of the car sustained only minor injuries.
Local police arrived at the scene shortly after the accident and took the car occupants into custody for further inquiry. The investigation into the exact cause of the collision is currently underway.
This incident has raised concerns once again over the growing number of road accidents in the region, particularly on the Diphu-Manja route, known for its risky curves and speeding vehicles.
